GOD'S GREAT FAITHFULNESS

Dear Saints of God,
We want to share with you what we all know to be true but need to be reminded of from time to time. We are all family and what hurts one hurts all. But we are convinced that God’s Love is not blind-it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less.
A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
“Peace, more than any other vessel, holds blessedness. “
GOD'S GREAT FAITHFULNESS
"The kindness of the LORD has not ended, His mercies are not spent. They are renewed every morning - Great and exceedingly abundant is Your grace! 'The LORD is my portion!' I say with full heart; therefore will I hope in HIM." [Lamentations (Ekhah) 3:22-24 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Lamentations is full of mournful laments, wailing, damnation, and the scent of devastated Jerusalem after it collapsed from the plundering by the Babylonian armies. Yet, from such a time as this comes this beautiful passage.
Done in Hebrew acrostic (Alef - Taf), the entire Funeral Song is a remarkably structured hymn of grief. The first two and the last two chapters consist of 22 verses, each using all the Hebrew alphabets. The central chapter has 66 verses, with the letters of the alphabet applied every third verse.
It is in this central chapter, these three verses stand out like an " Island of Hope " in a " Sea of Despair." And throughout the ages, they have been a great comfort and blessing to all believers in times of testing.
We are most blessed for having been given these sustaining promises. Every new day brings some new token of Holy God's gracious provision to meet the need of that day. We cannot count all our blessings, they are far too numerous. King David said, "O LORD my GOD, many are the wonders YOU have devised for us. I would rehearse the tale of them, if I would declare and speak of them, but they are more than can be numbered." [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Every new day reminds us again that "HIS faithfulness is great!"
No matter what the days ahead may hold and regardless how hopeless, prevailing, frightening or horrendously terrible they may be, "The battle is the LORD's and HIS compassion and mercy will not fail!" HalleluYAH!
Messiah Jesus eagerly awaits to renew HIS mercies each morning and make HIS faithfulness known. . . if we have all of our FAITH, HOPE and TRUST in HIM.

Love,
Denis and Marti
