The Latest craze...

Dear Gentle Reader,

The latest sport craze sweeping the internet is called “Christian Bashing” the aim of the game is to provide the readers of your blog with all types of reasons why “CHRISTIANS should be feared and hated rather than understood (sound rather like what happened in Germany during the second world war doesn’t it. Back then when the people called ....let see oh yes, Jews were being rounded up and slaughtered by the millions there were so few countries including the United States that stood up and said that’s not only wrong but it’s is a crime against humanity! Then they began on the Polish people and then Catholics and so on and so on.
The point is the rules against humanity is always pick and ridicule someone who cannot or will not defend themselves. The example closest to home here is a group called the KKK or the Klue Klux Klan.

What prompts this hatred of a group, Gentle reader? Well it’s tends to be complicated but the root cause is ignorance. For example ignorance is what causes people to make remarks and take actions that would hurt someone they do not even know. We have the example of a group that want to remove prayer from schools (and they did) Why? Ignorance! Then we have a group who wanted to remove The words “one nation under God” from the pledge of allegiance why because it is dictating (so they think) religion to everyone. And then the U.S. military Chaplains can not offer prayers in the name of Jesus Christ! But the group that worships Satan and witchcraft can be recognized (I know there is a difference , but I’m on a roll) Don’t try to correct that last remark I have dear friends that are witches leave them alone.

Folks it is not polite to make fun of someone because of race color or creed, we have laws protecting the right of everyone to practice their faith (or lack of it) but by bashing a group whether they are Muslim or Jewish or Christian or to demean a person because of their faith or race is just wrong! Plane wrong! If you know of someone who does that speak to them remind them that God died for all mankind and He doesn’t play favorites (I wouldn’t have had a chance at forgiveness if He had)
Killing is just wrong Gentle Reader, but some kill with the mouth and it is just as effective. Lets stop blaming others and work together for peace in this generation while we can before some ignorant bumptious buffoon blows us all up to kingdom come (sorry if I used a religious expression).

Remember God Loves you and so do I,
Denis

Grace

WHAT GRACE IS

Never let the devil deceive you into supposing that God planned sin as "a
gracious means to a glorious end," for then salvation from sin would be simple
justice, not grace. No, you cannot legitimately charge God with your sin. It is
to the guilty, the undeserving, far and wide, that God offers "the forgiveness
of sins according to the riches of His grace" (Eph. 1:7).

There are two significant phrases in Eph. 2 which shed clear light upon the
character, the nature, of grace. They are found in Verses 2 and 3, which speak
of the unsaved as "children [Gr., huiois, full-grown sons] of disobedience"
and "children [Gr., tekna, born ones] of wrath."

Meditate for a moment on these phrases: "Children of disobedience" and
"children of wrath." It is against this dark, black background of deserved wrath,
that we read further:

"BUT GOD, who is RICH IN MERCY, for His GREAT LOVE wherewith He loved us,
"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us [given us life] together with
Christ (BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED), "And hath raised us up together and made us
sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: "That in the ages to come He
might show THE EXCEEDING RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN HIS KINDNESS TOWARD US THROUGH
CHRIST JESUS" (Eph. 2:4-7).

Somehow it takes a load off one’s heart and mind to come to the end of his
rope, as it were, and admit that he is a sinner, deserving God’s wrath. How
sweet to the ears of such is the wonderful message of redemption by grace, through
the finished work of Christ at Calvary. We were all the "children [full-grown
sons] of disobedience": and therefore "by nature the children [born ones] of
wrath": "But God!" When hope seemed gone, He intervened and now offers
salvation to all by grace, through faith.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31).

Eph 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which
from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things
by Jesus Christ

At times all of us experience fear.
But don't allow fear to keep
you from being used by God.
He has kept you thus far; trust Him
for the rest of the way.

How Much Does Prayer Weigh?

Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food. John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store.

Visualizing the family needs, she said: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can."

John told her he could not give her credit, as she did not have a charge account at his store.

Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocerman that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family.

The grocerman said in a very reluctant voice, "Do you have a grocery list?

Louise replied "Yes sir"

"O.K." he said, put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries."

Louise, hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed. The eyes of the grocerman and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.

The grocerman staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, "I can't believe it." The customer smiled and the grocerman started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more. The grocerman stood there in utter disgust.

Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement. It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer which said: "Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands."

The grocerman gave her the groceries that he had gathered and placed on the scales and stood in stunned silence. Louise thanked him and left the store. The customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to John as he said, "It was worth every penny of it."

It was sometime later that John Longhouse discovered the scales were broken; therefore, only God knows how much a prayer weighs.
